Postcards are traditionally printed on coated one side card stock, and this 18 point coated one side card stock is a very sturdy example of this style.

We refer to this stock as a 18pt C1S stock to denote that there is a coating on one side and an uncoated reverse.

Print as few as 10 postcards and even multiple version of art on the same order on this substantial card stock and we'll have your order ready to ship as fast as the same day.

This heavy stock is ideal for printing colorful artwork on the coated side while the uncoated back side  can be written on with markers, pens or pencils. The color on the uncoated side of these cards is muted and more subtle.

18 point coated one side postcards are printed in full color in standard 4" x 6" and 5" x 7" size and custom sizes.

Consider adding corner rounding, scoring and hole drilling to elevate and enhance the style of your postcards.

Custom size postcards are available: please select a size that will fit your custom trim size and upload your art at the custom trim size and indicate the size in your order notes.

Can I Get A Color Proof For 18pt Coated 1 Side Cards?

If you are concerned about color, be sure to request a printed proof for this product. This gives you a chance to see how the colors and finish turns out before we print your project.

Will Gradients Show Banding On 18pt Coated 1 Side Cards?

Sometimes gradients aren't as smooth in print as they are on screen. Request a printed proof when placing your order so you can see first hand how it will turn out prior to production.

Is There Color Variation On Solid Blue?

For great blue results, we recommend a 30% difference between your Cyan and Magenta levels to ensure a nice rich dark blue, rather than purple.

Can 18pt Coated 1 Side Cards Have Frayed edges?

It is common to see "frayed / rough edges" on uncoated stocks, especially with ink coverage that extends to the edge of the cards. When a stock is not coated the fibers can break loose when trimmed. Choosing a coated or laminated card will help avoid this issue.

What Is The Difference Between Digital Toner And Offset Ink?

As with all digital printing, we use a dry polymer based toner, which sits on top of the stock instead of soaking into the stock like a traditional ink. So using full/heavy coverage will cause the stock to look slightly shinny and will give a similar appear to a coated stock. We recommend the uncoated stock for artwork that uses minimal ink coverage and allow the stock to show through. If using solid fills and heavy coverage, the C2S is probably going to be a better option.
