Postcards printed on this very sturdy 22pt uncoated card stock don't feel light or wimpy. Print postcards in sizes of 4" x 6", 5" x 7" or 8.5" x 5.5" and custom sizes.
This card stock is 22 points thick, which translates to a hefty 160lb DTC (double thick cover weight), with a bright smooth white surface.
Your postcards are printed fast on an Indigo printing press to give you beautifully printed postcards with visually stunning images and consistent color every time you print. Also, if your postcards have heavy ink coverage, this print method and stock are a sure choice for excellent art reproduction.
When your postcards are meant to impress tell us to start the press!
Custom Size Postcards are available: please select the next largest size you see online that will fit your trim size. Supply your files at your custom trim size and indicate that in your order notes.
Heavy Coverage? Think Twice
Heavy ink coverage can be problematic. When the cards rub together, the ink can rub off. Heavy coverage makes this more apparent. This can also be an issue for corner rounding, so we generally advise clients with heavy coverage not to round corners.
Small Fonts Aren't Good
The minimum recommended text size is 6pt. With any small text, if grey use a black ink only version; if black, use 100% K.
Thin Lines Aren't Good
Anything thinner than a hairline stroke (0.25") - even at 100% K may look choppy when printed due to Indigo print resolution.
Indigo Resolution Is Different Than Offset
There is a screen to the Indigo print which customers should be aware of if they're comparing to traditional offset printing.
Minimum Line Thickness Of 0.5pt
Try to keep all line weights for graphics over 0.5pt. Anything under that can break up in the texture of the stipple.
For Small Elements, Simple Color Builds Are Better
When working with small elements like lines or text, a simpler color build is best to avoid misregistration. For example, 0/0/0/90 is a much better build than 20/20/20/40.
