Coated Greeting Cards 18pt - Clubcard Printing USA

Greeting cards printed on 18 point coated card stock have a stiff and sturdy look and feel. This coated stock provides more vibrant colors when compared to uncoated greeting card stocks.

Clubcard prints your folding cards, invitations and greeting cards fast on a Hewlett Packard Indigo press ensuring excellent color reproduction and quality for single and multiple greeting card orders and future reprints.

This 18 point coated card stock has a thick and substantial feel with a low luster matte coated surface to ensure the color of your artwork is reproduced accurately.

Custom size greeting cards are available: please select the next largest size you can see online that will fit your trim size. Supply your files at your trim size and be sure to indicate that trim size in your order notes.

How Small Can Text Be On Indigo Coated Cards?

The minimum recommended text size is 6pt. With any small text, if grey use a black ink only version; if black, use 100% K.

Can I Use Thin Lines on Indigo Printed Cards?

Anything thinner than a hairline stroke (0.25") - even at 100% K may look choppy when printed due to Indigo print resolution.

Is Indigo Resolution Different From Offset?

There is a screen to the Indigo print which customers should be aware of if they're comparing to traditional offset printing.

Should You Use Rich Black on Indigo Cards?

Don't use rich black on Indigo printing. 100% K will be just fine.

Can I Round Corners on Indigo Cards with Heavy Coverage?

Heavy ink coverage can be problematic. When the cards rub together, the ink can rub off. This can be an issue for corner rounding so we generally advise clients with heavy coverage not to round corners.

Can I Write On Coated Cards?

Coated cards aren't ideal for writing on. If this is a big deal, check out our uncoated card stock options.

Can Greys Shift?

CMYK Process colors in the grey range and de-saturated images can shift in color throughout the print run and may cause the greys to appear either cooler or warmer. For a neutral grey, we recommend converting all grey values and de-saturated images to true greyscale consisting of K (black) only values.

Is There Color Variation on Solid Blue?

Depending on the color value, you may experience color variation in solid fills of blue. For great blue results, we recommend a 30% difference between your Cyan and Magenta levels to ensure a nice rich dark blue, rather than purple.

Proofing Will Delay Production Timelines

Orders with proofs will not begin print production until the proof is approved. If you are ordering rush printing and printed proofs the proof printing cannot be rushed.

PDF Layout Proofs: PDF layout proofs will be sent within 1 business day, rush orders will be given priority and sent asap during business hours. If file adjustments are required after the proof is sent the turnaround time is based on the time of final proof approval.

Printed Proofs | Mailed Proofs: Printed proofs require up to 4 business days to produce and cannot be rushed. If file adjustments are required after the proof is sent the turnaround time is based on the time of final proof approval.

Technical Specifications + Templates

Bleeds: all files must have a 1/8" bleed on each side
Live Area: keep all critical text and artwork 1/8" inside the trim
Colors: supply your files in CMYK color (Pantone/RGB colors will be converted or rejected)
Resolution: 300 dpi minimum (400 dpi preferred)
Fonts: fonts must converted to curves/outlines (we do not accept fonts).
Transparencies: flatten all transparencies
