Bookmarks printed on 19 point (19pt) thick suede laminate stock enhance the intimate experience of curling up with a great book. The sensory and sumptuous feel of these bookmarks with a velvet feel and matte finish is very engaging.
Your suede bookmark is printed in full color with optional spot gloss on 16 point thick coated card stock with a 1.5mil thick, velvety suede lamination applied on each side to create a stiff and sturdy 19 point thick bookmark.
These durable but delightfully fuzzy bookmarks are soft to the touch yet scuff and moisture resistant to keep your name front and center each at every turn of the page.
When you order 100 or 250 bookmarks these are printed on the digital press, while orders of 500 or more are printed on the offset printing press using soy based inks. Your bookmarks will be ready to ship on a 5 business day print production time.
Ordering 500 or more bookmarks? Add a touch of flash and elegance with an optional spot gloss finish that creates a shiny gloss design element that contrasts against the matte suede/velvet stock of your bookmarks. Spot gloss is a subtle way to highlight selected areas of your art, create a background pattern or secret, subliminal messaging with striking results.

Coatings Make The Color Vary
Without the use of spot gloss, colors under silk laminated coating will appear slightly muted and may alter the final result. (Even 100% K will appear somewhat charcoal in color.) Color matching of artwork is not suited to this product. Silk Laminated cards will mute your colors, if you add spot gloss to it will darken that specific section.
Fine Details Don't Translate Well To Spot UV
Due to the liquid nature of the spot gloss application, fine details may expand and fill in unexpectedly. If the spot gloss placement includes a lot of fine detail, tight corners, etc., the spot gloss will result in some filling in, especially at smaller sizes. Make sure that spot gloss designs are as simple and large as possible.
Don't Try To Spot UV Fine Text
Because there may be some slight shifting of the spot UV (spot gloss), we do not advise putting the spot UV over the text. You can expect up to 1/16" variance between the gloss and the CMYK layers, so trying to line up the thin gloss with small or thin text underneath may not turnout as expected.
Spot UV Can Shift
Spot gloss doesn't always line up 100% perfect. Usually "blind" spot gloss applications turn out the best. Aligning the spot gloss with CMYK elements often reduces the contrast of the spot gloss and any shift in alignment is noticeable. Spot gloss alone provides great contrast when applied over a solid fill or even just on the white matte stock. Another great effect is to have a pattern in just spot gloss in the background.
